  JONES & US CIC is an ambitious community organization that helps those with learning disabilities, neurodiversity, mobility or mental health issues, work on their health through specialised sports and fitness activities. The enterprise was founded in 2019 in the quest to give back to the community and transform the lives of people who need it the most.

In the mission to expand our reach and impact, we are looking for new Board members to join the team. You do not need to have experience as a Board member, but we are particularly keen to hear from those who have either of the following skills or backgrounds:

§ Business and project management

§ Finance and fundraising

§ Communications and digital marketing

§ Experience working with Learning disabilities, neurodiversity, or Physiotherapy

We are growing and are more than ever committed to diversifying the collective skills and lived experience on our board.

This is a volunteer role.

As part of our board, you will have access to skill training and workshop opportunities on business and social enterprises.

EXPECTATIONS OF INDIVIDUAL BOARD MEMBERS

We expect each board member to:

o Know the organization’s mission, policies, programs, and needs.

o Take part in 4 annual board meetings.

o Serve as active advocates and ambassadors for the organization.

o Leverage connections, networks, and resources to develop collective action to achieve Jones & Us mission and goals.

o Respect all the voices on the board and the other members of the Jones & Us team.

Board members might take on tasks where needed and if the member is available to do so.
